April 2020

The safety of our supporters and volunteers is very important to Broadway Players. With the changes in the CDC recommendations and state mandate that call for gatherings or events of 10 or more people to be cancelled or postponed to at least 8 weeks in the future, we have made some difficult decisions to help ensure the well-being of our community. Show ticket holders have a choice to either receive a refund or we will honor those tickets at a future Broadway Players show. Renters cancelling due to COVID-19 or the ban will be given a full refund.

What it's About
An eclectic group of six mid-pubescents vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives, the tweens spell their way through a series of (potentially made-up) words, hoping never to hear the soul-crushing, pout-inducing, life un-affirming "ding" of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. Six spellers enter; one speller leaves! At least the losers get a juice box.

What it's About
A young boy named Ralphie Parker only wants one thing for Christmas: a Red Ryder BB gun. However, he is not sure he will ever make it to Christmas, between his brother Randy and the school bully Scut Farkus. Whenever he tells someone how much he wants it, he/she tells him that he will shoot his eye out and refuses to get it for him. Even a department store Santa Claus tells him the same thing.
